The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, at Western University is located in London, Ontario, Canada. Our Postgraduate Training Program in Orthopaedic Surgery began in 1960 under the leadership of Dr. J.C. Kennedy. Since then, the Division has grown into one of the premiere training programs recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
The Division includes 26 Surgeons, who contribute to seven Clinical Teaching Units (CTUs) at three hospital sites. The CTUs include: Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Sports Medicine at University Hospital; Paediatric, Trauma, Spine, and Foot and Ankle at Victoria Hospital; and Hand and Upper Limb at St. Joseph's Health Centre.
The orthopaedic residency program is five years in duration. We accept Fellows into each of the CTUs, all of whom have full-time research scientists and laboratories.
We are very proud of our Division. On behalf of everyone in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, I enthusiastically welcome you to our website.
